Workshop Description
This interactive session will look at the exploration and discovery of science, using conversation and books. The importance of conversations, the specific vocabulary you use, and how to incorporate books into the learning experiences will be highlighted. Participants will be provided with strategies to promote children’s thinking and learning in discovering and understanding the world around them. We will be demonstrating various techniques with our non-fiction books. We encourage participants to bring their favorite science and non-fiction books to this session for group practice and sharing. Participants may recognize information from the Hanen LLLI and ABC and Beyond programs within this session.
