Everyday life has its own challenges. In this past year of uncertainty, there are new challenges that have added to our stress levels, and have brought us to heightened levels of stress. There are strategies that each and every one of us can use to help neutralize our compounded stress levels. We all grieved losses – changes to our routines, our social networks, or our work environments. Yet life goes on even during these times of uncertainty. This session will help you press reset, and of er mental health awareness, as well as strategies for dealing with transitions, losses and an unknown future during COVID-19.

Biography:
Jill is a Registered Social Worker in Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada. She holds Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) degrees, in addition to certificates in Management and Adult Education. She has been a Social Worker for 25 years. She has held a faculty position in the Human Services Program at Holland College in PEI since 2007.
Throughout the years, Jill has taught courses on counselling skills, working with families, business communications, ethics and professionalism, mental illness and neurological disorders, methods and strategies for teaching groups, case-management, interpersonal communications, workplace communications, personal wellness, social issues, disability rights, inclusive education, and inclusionary practices. She is enthusiastic, and enjoys helping others gain self-awareness, and reach their optimal level of personal well-being.
Jill is the owner and founder of Your Life Design Inc. a private online company offering individual therapy and counselling, as well as group programs for helping professionals. She specializes in working with busy professionals and is the creator of a group program called Help4Helpers.
Jill is an engaging speaker, with positive energy. Throughout her career, she has given workshops across Canada, and has taught internationally. She has also helped many students become professional helpers during her work in post-secondary education for higher learning. During the pandemic she has spoken to thousands of professionals about navigating difficult times. Jill lives in Argyle Shore with her husband Dr. Adam Fenech, dog Maggie and rescue kittens Simon and Sylvie. She also enjoys teaching Aqua Zumba to help manage stress in her own life.
